SYNOPSIS
Hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Corolla take an unapologetic
look at the mind, body and soul of the modern man in The Man Show
Season Three, 4 DVD boxed set. Join in their chauvinistic
celebration of all things male with these 26 classic episodes- a
must-have for men everywhere who love watching girls jump on
trampolines.
CRITIQUE
Each episode of
The Man Show usually follows the format of: stage and sketch
comedy, questions from the audience, and girls jumping on
trampolines. Keep in mind that most episodes cater to mindless
blue-collar “men.” The season contains many “candid camera” themed
skits like when they place a $20 bill on some poop to see who will
take it (episode 318) and videotape men’s reactions as they send a
pretty woman by (episode 315).
In Episode 302 (The
Museum of Annoying Guys) Adam at Jimmy mock guys who “watch your lap
dances” and the guy who jogs while waiting at a red light. One of the
most entertaining sketches is “The Wheel of Destiny” in which studio
audience members agree to whatever fate the wheel stops at (half are
good while the other half not so good). Some positives were: getting
flashed by Juggy Vanessa and a ride in the real batmobile.
Some negatives
included getting your eyebrows shaved and letting a sumo wrestler
squat on your face Also appearing in many episodes is “The Man Show
Boy,” a young overweight boy who says outrageous things to
unsuspecting civilians. The Karl Malone skits in Season 3 aren’t as
funny compared to previous seasons and are more seemingly like time
fillers.
Sadly, there are
also recap/best of episodes (Episodes 325 and 326) with only new
introductions. Many men will also be disappointed by the censored
nudity (Even in the “Mardi Gras” episode) in this 4-disc set.
