SYNOPSIS
Pablo Francisco does his stand-up
routine in Orange County.
CRITIQUE
Pablo Francisco is one
of the funniest Latino comedians alive. His famous sound-effects and
his imitations of people, especially women are a trademark of his that
makes the jaw-muscles ache. Pablo Francisco is not really known for
his jokes, nor are they really funny. The fun begins when he combines
jokes and comedy situations with his imitations.
I bet if he wasn’t a
comedian, he’d be a professional human beat box. His imitation of
music beats, techno music especially, makes it seem that you think
they are really playing that music in the background. His imitation of
situations is so real they make you laugh hard. Like the one of the
stripper, and the strip club DJ. Those make you feel you are in the
club experiencing the whole thing.
The funniest imitation
of famous people he does is Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the Spanish
Jerry Seinfeld. That’s basically all he does. Imitate people, music.
Though his jokes are kind of vague, his funny sounds overpower
everything, and make him one of the funniest comedians today.
THE VIDEO
The
stand-up show is presented in fullscreen format. Video quality is
decent, nothing big, nothing bad.
THE AUDIO
There's not much to complain about here either. The front speakers
emit audio quite well, and Pablo Francisco is clear and easy to
understand, although that depends, doesn't it?
THE EXTRAS
As
for extras, there are a few. First is a commentary track for
the show, which is okay. "Inside The Comic's Studio" is a
decent look into the show. Rounding out the extras is a screen
saver and a bonus CD that includes the entire show for your
CD player.
