Even though there's really just
space for ten films, Sara picked 11 for her top ten of 2002.

alphabetic order:
1.Minority Report -- With its superlative visual effects
and taut story, every scene extracted nothing but admiration and
amazement.
2. Far From
Heaven -- A
delicately balanced film about subtle oppression. Julianne Moore
gives the best performance of the year.
3.Bowling For Columbine -- We may not necessarily agree
with all that Moore says, but it's difficult to deny the gravity
of what he shows us.
4.Spirited Away -- The most enchanting film of the year,
combining first-class animation with boundless imagination.
5. The Fast
Runner -- Even
in the harsh tundras of the Arctic, this legendary Inuit tale is
as intense as any Shakespearean tragedy.
6.Insomnia -- It might be a remake, but so what. With a
gripping story, solid cast, and its fierce setting, this tale
deserves to be retold.
7.Changing Lanes -- An explosive film about two men pushed
beyond the edge of rational behavior. We all have our limits.
8.Personal Velocity -- A powerful literary drama about 3
women, jump-starting their lives from latency. Not as polished
as "The Hours," but more accomplished
9.Pumpkin -- Politically incorrect as it may appear to be,
"Pumpkin" is funny, witty and smart, as one sorority girl breaks
from the mold.
10.The Kid Stays in the Picture -- Based on the life of
movie mogul Robert Evans, this is a gold mine for film buffs in
terms of an inside look into the real Hollywood.
