In
1999 the world of Hollywood was in for a new kind of motion
pictures never done before. It was the first film made for
30,000 and became one of the most successful independent movies
of all time. It was market very well not like most films are
marketing. It was called The Blair Witch Project and it
causes a lot of talk when It was release. I lot of people said
it was real but it was not I hated this movie with a passion.
So
when I film does very well Hollywood think lets make a sequel
and make more money. The only problem is some times when they
make another it usually not that good. The next chapter is
called Book Of Shadows: Blair Witch 2. For Jeff (Jeffrey
Donovan) his life is doing down the drain he just was release
from a mental institution. He has a big obsession with The Blair
Witch so he make a business in which he a tour that take people
to the site of the witch.
His
first tour he has 4 clients Erica (Erica Leerhsen) who has
immersed herself in Blair Witch mythology and who is a witch
herself, Next are Tristen (Tristen Skyler) and Stephen (Stephen
Barker Turner) who are Grad students and are writing a book
about the Blair Witch but who does not agree on the idea of
Blair Witch. Tristen think it must contain so truth to the story
but Stephen believes it’s a textbook case of hysteria.
Last
of the clients is Kim (Kim Director) yes that her name as the
Goth aficionado possessed of striking psychic abilities. So they
are of to the wood for some little fun. But what they don’t
know it going to be a hell of a trip and they are in for a hell
of a fight with the Blair Witch. It will change their lives
forever and yours as well.
After
the first Blair Witch I hope they would never make another but
of course they did but I have to say it was much better then the
first one.
Good
points:
The
story was must better then the first.
There
was blood and it was scary not like the first one that was
not scary at all.
It
is in color and not 35mm.
It
doesn’t make people sick when they run in the wood like
the last one did to a lot of people.
It
makes you laugh sometimes.
The
beginning was pretty good with all the coverage of the first
Movie.
This
one made you think if it was real. Not like the last one you
know it was fake.
Bad
points:
There
was too much blood even so I listed blood as a good point
but it was just too much blood.
It
drags a little bit.
Most
of the plot took place in a warehouse it could be a little
more in the woods.
They
had too much markets material in the film. It look like a
commercial.
Overall,
it's not the best horror movie but it was not the worst movie
either. Book of Shadows is definitely worth watching once, just
to see how it is. But if you hated the first one, you will like
this one better.
