Sometimes in life you may meet someone who make you week in the knees. But image that person has a little secret as in this movie. Head Over Heels centers on Amanda Pierce (Monica Potter) she is a painting restoration artist at the Metropolitan Museum in New York. Just when she was doing well she goes home and catches her boyfriend in bed with another girl, a model of all things.

She moves in with her best friend Lisa (China Chow) and who is also her co-worker and who happens to be gay. So when that doesn’t work out she has to look for a new place to live. She found one for $500 a month the room is so small more like a closet size, her roommates are all tall all beautiful and all dumb they are models. There is Jade (Shalom Harlow), Roxana (Ivan Milicevic), Candi (Sarah O’Hare) and Holly (Tomiko Frager) who takes Amanda
is as one of them.

So while living there Amanda meets Jim Winston (Freddie Prinze, Jr.) a high powered fashion designer who just seems a little to perfect. He is walking a dog more like a horse that likes Amanda too. Did I mention that Jim lives in the apartment directly across from Amanda and the models? Of course the models spies on Jim and Amanda thinks she found Mr. Right until the girls see Jim kill a young lady. So Amanda will become a detective and try to find out things about Jim and his little secret.

Head Over Heels was a surprisingly funny movie with humor you usually see in a Farrelly Brothers film. The director was Mark S. Waters. He did a good job. He may be the next director to have success with the Farrelly Brothers' type of comedy. Here are some good and bad points about the film.

The Good:
The story was funny it had a lot of stuff you have seen in a Farrelly Brothers movie. But it was a good spin of a fairy tale type of a romance comedy film. The cast was good together. Esp. the models I think the models stole the show most of the comedy scenes involve them. The location was a good pick. The way the story came together was ok. Except couple of things more on that in a sec. The movie ended well.

The Bad:
Freddie character wasn’t believable. He seemed not to be into the character he was playing. Freddie and Amanda weren't the perfect couple together in the movie. The chemistry was not there. Freddie was better in his other film, Down to You. It teases again with T&A and end up showing nothing. Just like other types of movies, a good example is Coyote Ugly.

Overall, Head Over Heels was a funny movie. You will walk into the film thinking this film is going to be stupid, but don’t think that because it is not. It's not just a chick flick. Go see it and laugh your socks off.
