February
is an important month of the year you have Black History Month
as well as Presidents Day. And then there is Valentine Day,
which is for the couples and with all the movies coming out in
Feb. There is only one that is for the couples, but mostly for
the ladies it’s called Sweet November.
For
Nelson Moss (Keanu Reeves) an advertising executive who only
cares about him and his job and doesn’t know how to deal with
people. He is a self absorbed and emotionally isolated man
focused on his future, running from his past. So at DMV renewing
hi s licenses he meets Sara Deever (Charlize Theron) who is a
charming person who bring out the best in everyone she meets
except Nelson.
She
see her new project so she lay out the rules to Nelson which are
live with her for one month not a day before or later and she
will show him what life is all about and how the life he has now
he doesn’t like. Even so he said he does. So they agree the
project to begins on the first on November and remember the
courtship there are no pressure, no strings attached the only
thing they did not count on is to falling in live with each
other. The only problem is Sara has a big secret that will
affect them both.
Well,
Sweet November is not getting any good things said about
the movie from the critic. Well this critic thinks the film was
not that bad, not an Oscar winner, but not that bad. Here are
some good and bad points.
The
Good:
I
thought it was going to be another autumn in New York but is
was not the story was not bad even so it is a remake of a
1968 film.
The
cast was good Keanu Reeves did an ok job in a different role
for him. Charlize Theron was the star of the show and who
look like the part she is a beautiful woman and she really
change her appearance for this film. Jason Isaacs playing a
strange part much different from his last film called The
Patriot.
The
chemistry was not too bad between the two main actors.
Unlike others romantic drams.
The
ending was different that I thought it would be thank god.
The Bad:
The
story drags a little.
Even
so I like it. Enough with this type of story lines. How many
times do you have to cry in a film?
