Relationships are like playing cards. You may have the perfect hand or have nothing at all. For Isabella (Penelope Cruz), she thinks she has the perfect marriage until her husband cheats on her (Guys, if you were married to her, would you cheat?) with her upstairs neighbor.

Isabella checks her marriage and then realizes it’s no good. She deserves better. To start over, she moves from Brazil to San Francisco. There she begins work as a culinary career (cook). Yes guys, she can cook too. She reunites with t he childhood transvestite friend Monica (Harold Perrineau  Jr) and starts her new life.

She meets Cliff who is a producer of a television network. He likes what he sees (who wouldn’t) and hires her. She gets her own show, called ' Passion Food Live.' She thinks her life is getting better but life is not always what it seems.

Woman On Top was a very funny, yet serious movie. It shows us to follow what your heart or dreams say. Penelope Cruz was very good as Isabella. I think Cruz will be a great actress. She's already famous in her country. But, Woman On Top is her American eye. Just like Salma Hayek who rose to stardom in Desperado. Keep an eye on Penelope Cruz because she's going to be a big actress.

Woman On Top's story is not new or original; there have been other films like this before. But, Woman On Top brings it to the table with a style, great cooking, a hot actress and a good supporting cast.

Overall, Woman On Top was a very charming and funny movie. Both men and women should enjoy this film. Not one to miss.
